Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Occupational Medicine Physicians (MD/DO) for a locum tenens assignment in San Antonio, Texas. This role involves providing occupational health services in a busy outpatient setting, with a focus on work-related injury management, physical examinations, and urgent care services.
Opportunity Highlights
- Occupational Medicine locum tenens opportunity
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Outpatient clinic environment
- Diagnosis and treatment of work-related injuries and urgent care patients
- Conduct pre-placement DOT physicals and surveillance exams for private and government clients
- Communicate with employers and provide medical guidance
- Perform in-office procedures
- EMR: To be confirmed
- Must be DOT certified prior to first shift
Schedule Details
- Shift: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Duration: Coverage dates to be discussed during interview
Clinical Scope
- Evaluation and treatment of occupational injuries and illnesses
- Conducting pre-employment DOT physicals and surveillance exams
- Urgent care patient assessment and treatment on walk-in basis
- Medical communication with companies and agencies
- Performing in-office procedures as needed
- Maintaining comprehensive and timely documentation
Requirements
- MD degree from an accredited medical school
- Active and unrestricted Texas medical license
- DOT certification prior to first shift
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Occupational Medicine or primary care specialty
- Active DEA license
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced outpatient environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in occupational medicine or urgent care
- Familiarity with electronic health records
- Experience working with private companies and government agencies
