- Specialty Backup Available: Multispecialty support (Cardiology, Nephrology, Vascular Surgery, CT surgery, Pulmonary/Critical Care, Gastroenterology, ID, Urology, ENT, General Surgery, Ortho, Podiatry, Neurology, Radiology, Interventional Radiology)
- Support Staff Available: Dedicated NP/PA Admitter; Code/Rapid Response Teams
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
- Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Board: BC/BE in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine (ABIM, ABFM)
- Licenses: Active unrestricted TN Medical license
- DEA / CDS: Active DEA with TN address and schedules 2,2N,3,3N,4,5
- Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, and PALS if not Board Certified in Emergency Medicine; NRP required for Non-ABEM providers
- Experience: Residency training in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine required; new graduates acceptable
- Other Qualifications: Case logs for past 2 years; Preeclampsia-Eclampsia CME required; Immunizations (MMR, Varicella, TB test) per facility policy
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide inpatient care for medical and cardiac patients
- Supervise and oversee nurse practitioners and physician assistants
- Manage patient admissions, discharges, and daily rounding
- Coordinate with a wide range of specialists for multidisciplinary care
- Ensure accurate documentation in Epic EMR
