- Patient Volume/Census: ~49,500 annual visits (~135/day)
- Admissions: 22%

FACILITY INFORMATION
- No. of Beds in Department: 42 ED beds
- Trauma Level: Not specified
- EMR System: Meditech (transitioning to Epic March 2025)
- Specialty Backup Available: Robust backup specialties on-site
- Scribe Coverage: 10 hrs/day
- Staffing (MDDO): 49 hours Mon–Wed; 42 hours Sat–Sun (~3.5 FTE, ~42 shifts/month)
APPs (NP/PAs): 46 hours Mon–Fri; 36 hours Sat–Sun - Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Coverage
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
- Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
- Credentialing Timeline: ~90 days
- Expedited Privileges: No – temporary privileges not allowed
- Orientation Requirements: EMR training, SCP orientation with shadow shift
REQUIRED PROCEDURES
- Standard emergency medicine procedures
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Licenses: Active Louisiana medical license
- Board: BC in ABEM, AOBEM, ABFM (FM must show proof of ED work in past 2 years)
- Certifications: ATLS (FM only), ACLS, PALS
- Residency Training: EM or FM residency required
- Experience: Minimum 2 years ED experience if FM trained
