JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or ABIM/ABFM with EM experience
- Licenses: Active Louisiana license or willingness to obtain
- DEA / CDS: Active DEA with LA address required
- Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, PALS required
- Experience: Residency trained in Emergency Medicine required; moonlighting available for EM residents
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide single-coverage emergency department care for approximately 25,000 annual visits
- Perform required emergency medicine procedures
- Admit or transfer patients as needed (8% admission/transfer rate)
- Work 12-hour day and night shifts (7a-7p / 7p-7a)
- Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and order entry
