- Case Mix: General GI cases, EGD/EGD with banding, Foreign bodies & Dilations, Colonoscopies
FACILITY INFORMATION - EMR System: MediTech
- Support Staff: 2 NPs
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE - Hospital Privileges Required: No
- Temporary Privileges Available: No
REQUIRED PROCEDURES - Required:
- Upper GI endoscopy (with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder, injection of varices)
- Small Bowel biopsy
- Lower GI endoscopy
- Sigmoidoscopy (Flexible, Rigid)
- Colonoscopy (with biopsy, with excision of polyp)
- Insertion/management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube
JOB REQUIREMENTS - Board: BC
- Licenses: OH or IMLC
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS
- Fellowship: Required
Duties & Responsibilities - Provide holiday coverage for Thanksgiving and Christmas
- Perform 12-15 procedures per day plus possible add-ons
- Manage weeknight and weekend call coverage
- Round on assigned patients
- Perform general GI procedures including EGDs and colonoscopies
