Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking board-certified or board-eligible Hospitalist Physicians in Southaven, Mississippi for a locum tenens inpatient opportunity. This role supports an acute care hospital setting with a defined day/overnight coverage structure and a focus on inpatient medicine, including response to codes and RRTs. No procedures are required.

- Setting: Acute care hospital inpatient medicine service
- Coverage: Coverage dates only
- Clinical Focus: Inpatient hospitalist service on adult medicine wards
Schedule Details
- Day Coverage: 10 physicians and 3 PAs/NPs
- Night Coverage: 2 physicians and 1 PA/NP
- Overnight Coverage: 24-hour coverage
Clinical Scope
- Provide inpatient hospitalist care on adult medicine wards
- Respond to codes and RRTs
- Participate in day rounder coverage with no admitting responsibilities during shifts
- Support inpatient needs across multiple subspecialty areas, including neuro, ortho, geriatrics, cardiology, oncology, and general surgery
- Document care using Epic with MModal
Practice Environment
- Acute care hospital with 339 beds, including ICU
- EMR: Epic with MModal
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted Mississippi medical license
- DEA registration with a Mississippi address
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- ACLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Completed residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- No procedures required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in adult inpatient hospitalist settings
- Familiarity with responding to codes and RRTs
- EMR proficiency with Epic and MModal
