PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
- Hospital Privileges Required: Yes (cross credentialing at multiple facilities)
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine (ABEM required)
- Licenses: Active Louisiana Medical License (clean), CDS, DEA with LA address
- DEA / CDS: Active DEA with LA address, CDS required
- Certifications: ACLS, ALS required; PALS required if not board certified in EM
- Experience: Residency trained in Emergency Medicine; CME and case logs from past 2 years
- Other Qualifications: Accepting IMLC and pending DEA; ECFMG if foreign medical graduate; TB results, flu vaccine, health attestation; Interview with Medical Director
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide emergent and urgent medical care to patients of all ages
- Oversee and collaborate with advanced practice providers and support staff
- Complete accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
- Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and consultations as needed
- Participate in quality improvement and maintain required certifications
