Qualifications
Education
- Required
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Associate's degree in Nursing
- Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
Experience:
- Preferred
- Two years of experience in Medical/Surgical Oncology
Certification/Licensure:
- Required
- Registered Nurse (RN) License, with authorization to practice in the State of Texas
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Must obtain within ninety (90) days of start date
- ONS/Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy provider card
- Must obtain within six (6) weeks of start date
- Oncology nursing competency review- demonstrate ongoing education by earning 12 cancer related continuing nursing education contact hours
- Must obtain within one (1) year of hire and subject to review once a year
