This role includes delegation and direction of therapy services, patient and family education, documentation in compliance with regulatory guidelines, participation in student training, and engagement in professional development and performance improvement activities. The position emphasizes patient and employee safety and adherence to professional and organizational standards.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Active Pennsylvania Physical Therapy license required to start the assignment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Experience in outpatient physical therapy preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to complete comprehensive evaluations, write functional goals, and produce timely, accurate documentation including letters of medical necessity and charge entry.
- Ability to supervise and mentor students as assigned.
- Willingness to follow clinic safety protocols for safe patient handling, infection control, and workplace safety.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with outpatient documentation systems and insurance authorization processes.
- Prior experience in a traveling or floating role preferred.
