Responsibilities include supervising and evaluating Physical Therapy Assistants and Home Health Aides as assigned, performing home visits, documenting patient progress, collaborating with physicians on plans of care, and participating in education programs.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA or relevant accrediting body.
- Current, unencumbered license to practice physical therapy in the state of assignment (Massachusetts) prior to the assignment start.
- Current CPR/BLS certification from AHA or ARC.
- Experience in home health or providing skilled physical therapy in patient homes is required.
- Familiarity with documentation and electronic health record systems, including basic computer navigation and online training management.
- Reliable transportation and current driver's license. Agency-required liability insurance as applicable.
- Ability to supervise and provide guidance to PTAs and home health aides in accordance with state-specific supervision rules.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2-3 years of clinical physical therapy experience preferred.
- Experience evaluating home environments and developing home-based treatment plans preferred.
Assignment Details
- Shift name: Evenings.
- Schedule: 5 shifts per week, 8 hours per shift.
- Must perform home visits and travel locally within the service area. Reliable transportation required.
