Qualifications
Required Education:
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
Preferred Education:
- Bachelor's of Science in Nursing
Required Experience:
- Three (3) to five (5) years working with teams of physicians, nurses and health care managers on projects to improve the processes of care and quality; work conducting quality studies preferred.
- Knowledge of principles, tools and techniques of CQI.
- Must have independent initiative and be able to work with little supervision.
- Ability to apply analytical skills to complex and comprehensive problems.
- Strong computer, data analysis and communication skills required.
- Demonstrated ability to apply ICD-9-CM, Ecodes and AIS scoring.
- Must have ability to review and interpret the continuum of patient care as documented in the medical record.
- Strong organizational skill to include time management and problem solving are required.
Required Certification/License/Registry:
- Current license to practice as an RN in Florida
Responsibilities
Your Role:
- Supports the Trauma Service Department by maintaining the Trauma Registry and by using clinical and financial database tools to identify and analyze opportunities for improvement.
- Provides clinical and financial data to the Trauma Service Department focusing on performance improvement, with the goal of improving patient care and the financial viability of the program.
