How you’ll make an impact in this role
- Operate advanced imaging cameras to detect and map radioactive drugs within the patient’s body, providing radiologists with high-quality diagnostic images necessary for accurate interpretation.
- Prepare, administer, and safely dispose of radiopharmaceuticals by following strict regulatory protocols to guarantee both patient safety and clinical accuracy.
- Position patients compassionately and select precise technical factors to ensure clear, accurate imaging while maximizing patient comfort and minimizing scan times.
- Manage the prompt submission of completed scans and patient clinical histories to the digital archiving system, ensuring the medical team has immediate access to flawless data.
- Maintain a safe, functioning clinical environment by monitoring radiation safety guidelines and verifying that all imaging equipment is operating at peak performance standards.
What minimum requirements you’ll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- One or more of the following required:
- Certified Nuclear Medical Tech obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
- Radiologic Technologist specializing in Nuclear Medicine credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's
degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
