Clinical Scope
- Evaluation, stabilization, treatment, and disposition of emergency patients
- Management of moderate-to-high acuity presentations
- Collaboration with APPs, nursing staff, and specialty consultants
- Documentation and order entry within the hospital’s EMR system
- Procedures include moderate sedation and other emergency care protocols
Practice Environment
This opportunity is based within a community hospital emergency department in Crown Point, Indiana. The department handles approximately 33,000 annual visits with physician and APP coverage. Providers will utilize their clinical expertise to manage the full spectrum of emergency medical cases in a stable, team-oriented environment.
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted Indiana medical license
- Indiana State Controlled Substance Registration and DEA with IN address and schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4
- MD degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of EM residency training
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine through ABMS or AOAM
- Current ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
