Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking California-licensed Nurse Practitioners with surgery specialty experience for a locum tenens assignment in Santa Rosa, California. This opportunity involves inpatient trauma surgery support within a hospital environment, offering a flexible schedule across multiple shifts per month.
Opportunity Details
- Location: Santa Rosa, California
- Assignment Type: Locum Tenens
- Setting: Inpatient hospital environment
- Coverage Dates: 3 days a week, 4 weeks per month (flexible when shifts are picked up)
- Estimated hours: Minimum of 12 days per month, 8 hours per shift
- Guaranteed Hours: 8 hours per day
- Overtime: Preapproved by medical director if exceeding 8 hours per day
Schedule Details
- Shift Times: 6:30 am – 4:30 pm
- Schedule flexibility: Provider can choose shifts during the week
- Call: No call required
Clinical Scope
- Inpatient trauma surgery support (providers will not be in the OR)
- Coordination with surgical teams for trauma cases and patient management
- Documentation within hospital EMR systems
- Manage patient assessments and support clinical workflows in trauma settings
Practice Environment
This assignment is based within a well-established acute care hospital serving the Santa Rosa community. Providers will operate in a hospital setting with current electronic medical records and a focus on trauma patient management.
Requirements
- Active California Nurse Practitioner license
- DEA license in good standing
- Board Certified or truly Board Eligible in Surgery or related specialty
- Minimum 2 years of current hospital clinical activity in trauma or surgery specialty (hospital privileges or case logs may be requested)
- All gaps greater than 3 months must be explained during credentialing
- Updated CV including all hospital affiliations must be uploaded during presentation
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior trauma surgery experience
- Familiarity with hospital EMR systems
- Able to work flexible shifts as needed
