Job Description: Parsons are seeking a highly capable
PMIS Implementation Manager to join our team for a PMWeb implementation and roll out job. In this position, you will apply your functional and technical expertise in the implementation of project management information systems namely PMWeb, and other corporate PMIS solutions across major client programs and contribute to the program as an implementation delivery manager for Parsons in EMEA. At this level, the PMIS implementation manager has excellent functional knowledge of PMWeb coupled with sound project management acumen and demonstrated experience of system rollouts using an implementation methodology to independently roll out PMWeb on a program right from implementation phase right through roll out phase. The candidate is aware of how PMIS systems function within the project and program environment /domain allowing them to operate independently on assigned projects while also leading other PMIS delivery staff.
What You'll Be Doing:- PMIS implementation and roll out responsibilities:
- Responsible for the implementation, configuration, and administration of PMWeb to meet client needs and our project requirements.
- The responsibilities listed below in detail are spread across various implementation and roll out phases for PMWeb and the candidate must lead and deliver them independently.
- Be a PMIS Evangelist on the program, conduct workshops and produce presentations and ensure PMWeb is fully recognised and accepted by the Program leadership and the Client executive leadership team 'THE' PMIS on the program and ensure that it is NOT reduced to a mere reporting tool or an expensive alternative to an excel sheet to support Program reporting in PowerBi or be replaced by an alternative technology proposal.
- Lead PMWeb implementation with a Process automation approach on the program, own the PMIS landscape and your PMIS delivery team of experts shouldering the implementation responsibility of the following products: PMWeb, Microsoft SSRS and Power BI to meet the needs of the program. Also, address special integration scenarios as and when they arise with P6 EPPM, and client ERP /third party solutions on the program.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:- Lead requirement elicitation workshops in line with PMPs written by the program management SMEs mobilised on the Program team. Clearly articulate through requirement documents the details for processes such as forms, workflow, RACI, reports and dashboards as agreed between SMEs and Client counterparts captured in PMP documents on the programs.
- Set up information-gathering sessions through well planned and structured workshops with various stakeholders (both internal and external) to isolate requirements for designs in a requirement document signed off by Program SMEs and Client PMIS counterparts. Continue to revisit this document when new requirements are made by the client or Program SMEs.
- Ensure the PMIS system is in line with the PMPs written by function leads and SMEs on the Program, highlight any deviations to the program leadership team and seek the implementation of corrective actions.
- Lead workshops with the IT team to set up the PMIS instance and ensure compliance to client IT policies.
Responsibilities during the Design Phase:- Responsible for architecting solutions in PMWeb through careful analysis of requirements, responsible for designing and building solutions on PMWeb to meet the needs of the program.
- Design various modules for Commercials, Risk, Quality, HSE, and document control in PMWeb.
- Design Transactional reports in PMWeb; be proficient with writing SQL queries. For complex report requirements a Microsoft SSRS expert will be appointed as additional PMIS resource to support this task.
- Must have experience in managing client system integration scenarios with PMWeb PMIS; the candidate must have the ability to clearly articulate integration requirements and help design a solution with the Corporate PMIS integration specialist in addressing PMIS integration scenarios with client systems such as ERP or any specialist technology platforms used by the clients, must possess awareness of APIs, functional testing tools like POSTMAN / Soap UI for project manging the delivery of integration programs.
- Support the PMIS - Microsoft SSRS and reporting specialist to Implement Dashboard / report designs in Power Bi as received from the program reporting manager based on the data model built by PMIS technical specialist from PMIS datasets in SSRS database or take complete ownership to build dashboard visuals and build data models in PowerBi layer to enable data analysis in Power BI for our Program management team.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Application, IT or from relevant engineering field from an accredited University/ Institute.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience independently implementing PMWeb projects; handling stakeholders through requirement gathering, design, adoption and roll out phase for PMIS.
- You must possess strong client facing abilities to independently handle development of processes and reports in PMWeb.
- You must possess good Project management skills; project reporting skills to ensure delivery of PMIS is on time on this project.
- You must possess strong work ethics to see PMWeb implementation through to standup and launch PMWeb on the program independently; mere PMWeb administration experience post implementation OR Designing PMWeb as an offshore resource for an IT consulting firm where requirements are gathered by other Onshore resources will NOT suffice.
- You must have experience implementing PMWeb for a PMO and PMC type situation independently and preferably demonstrate proficiency in Query-Based Report writing in PMWeb using SQL.
- Professional level written and verbal communication skills in English. Arabic speaker is an advantage but not over the above-mentioned skills.
- Must demonstrate experience in client-facing roles handling clients and delivering projects; offshore experience does not count.
- Knowledge of project management and construction management environments is must. Must possess a minimum of 5+ years of experience on programs (which could be client side / IT consultancy side/ program consultancy side of programs). Good to have skills (not a priority over MUST have skills):
- Ability or experience using Microsoft Business Analytics tools (Power BI) and Microsoft query building languages such as the ability to write DAX Queries is a bonus for this role above your PMWeb implementation experience.
You must demonstrate management experience in handling PMIS Technical specialists to address integration scenarios; experience using functional testing tools
