Job OverviewPenFed is hiring a (Hybrid) Sr Manager, Domain Architect & Process Orchestration at our Tysons, Virginia location. The primary purpose of this job is to manage both internal and external resources managing PenFed's Process Intelligence and Orchestration in the decision management space, architecture and design, with a focus on speed of change, and reusability, reliability and transparency in workflow, process, data consumption and management of 3rd party data providers. This is a highly technical role, and the incumbent will demonstrate expert level process orchestration with appropriate intelligent feedback loops to product owners and a high competence in design development. This position will collaborate closely with the Consumer Banking Technology Office, Enterprise Data, and Lending Policy and Analytics in managing development and maintenance of Consumer Banking objectives in alignment with the credit policy, collections policy and other areas of decisioning, oversee credit data inputs from vendors, and support the decisioning environment.

- Author the best-in-class design architecture of consumer originations, collections, and account management to fit within PenFed's Consumer Banking's vision, goals, and size.
- Demonstrate best-in-class process intelligence and process design, inclusive of feedback mechanisms to understand process breaks and stalls and user behaviors for continuous improvement in decision optimization.
- Recommend tools and architecture to independently be able to model, decompose, monitor and analyze the overall processing environment and health.
- Author and maintain the deployment architecture and processes according to best practices.
- Work with Business Intelligence teams to develop visualizations of the processing environment, inclusive of outcomes, speed, completion, abandonment and other KPIs.
- Extend decisioning into other areas of consumer banking such as account management, collections, etc.
- Manage relationships with internal teams, and external vendors including but not limited to software vendors and credit bureaus to support Consumer Banking underwriting, collections and other operations.
- Provide technical support for identifying, reporting, tracking, and resolving daily operational problems in decisioning systems, make formal recommendations regarding enhancements or changes.
- Collaborate with Product teams in understanding requirements and opportunities and converting into design, be they incorporation of 3rd party technologies, process changes, or improvements to the user experience.
Qualifications Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or statistics is required, a master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of twelve (12) years of experience with process orchestration and optimization development and four (4) years of domain architecture experience is required.
- Minimum of six (6) years of direct management experience required.
- Experience with consumer lending credit systems is highly preferred.
- Experience with relational database management systems (SQL Server), client-server and GUI-based development tools is required.
- In depth knowledge of processing and case management software (Outsystems, SalesForce, or other equivalent) is required.
- In depth knowledge of process monitoring and measuring tools is required.
- Self-starter, comfortable leading conversations and assisting in driving architectural decisions and designs.
- Enthusiasm and an ability to work in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment.
