What You’ll Do
As a Direct Support Professional , you will support individuals with developmental disabilities in living meaningful, independent, and safe lives. You will promote personal growth, protect well-being, and serve as a trusted advocate.
Key Responsibilities
Support daily routines as outlined in each client’s IPP/ISP
Assist residents with personal goals, social engagement, and community activities
Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment
Assist with personal care (grooming, hygiene, dressing, bathroom needs)
Prepare meals and assist with clean-up
Transport clients to/from activities, homes, or appointments as needed
Report incidents and communicate daily with supervisors
Perform other duties as assigned
Education & Experience
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum 1 year of professional or personal caregiving experience
21 years of age or older
Valid California Driver’s License
Ability to pass all pre-employment checks (background, physical, etc.)
Preferred (or willing to obtain)
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
Work Location
On-site — not remote
Multiple locations throughout Bakersfield
