This role involves transporting goods from distribution centers to various locations, performing safety inspections, and unloading products at customer facilities. Candidates must have prior forklift experience to be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Safely deliver freight to customer locations
- Manage and submit proof of delivery paperwork
- Operate forklifts to assist with loading and unloading trucks
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Check mechanical aspects of assigned vehicles
- Perform all job duties safely and efficiently
Requirements:
- Forklift experience (required)
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class A or B)
- Minimum 6 months of commercial driving experience (box trucks, flatbeds, or larger vehicles)
- Driving experience within the 5 NYC boroughs (required)
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years)
- No more than 1 at-fault traffic collision within the past 5 years
- Experience completing pre- and post-trip inspections
- Strong customer service and communication skills
