Wellstar Health System is seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our growing Electrophysiology (EP) team at Wellstar Paulding Hospital in Hiram, GA. This hybrid role offers a unique blend of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, supporting the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care for those with heart rhythm disorders.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments and manage care for patients undergoing EP procedures including device implantation, ablations, and other rhythm management therapies.
Participate in hospital rounds, patient consults, and post-procedural care in the inpatient setting.
Conduct outpatient follow-up visits, pre-procedure assessments, and device clinic support (pacemakers, ICDs, loop recorders).
Collaborate closely with EP physicians, cardiologists, nurses, and technical staff in both clinical and procedural settings.
Participate in patient education, care coordination, and ongoing chronic disease management related to arrhythmia care.
Maintain accurate, timely documentation and ensure compliance with Wellstar standards and regulatory requirements.
Participate in quality improvement, education, and team meetings as needed.
Qualifications:
Current Georgia license as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
Board Certified (or eligible) as an NP or PA.
Cardiology or Electrophysiology experience preferred but not required – strong interest in EP is essential.
BLS and ACLS certifications required.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic healthcare environment.
