This role oversees daily operations across multiple production lines, leading the manufacturing team to ensure food and human safety, product quality, operational efficiency, and exceptional employee support.
Manage and develop team of employees, engage in meaningful conversations, build trusted relationships and provide the resources, feedback, and development opportunities they need to be successful
Use knowledge of regulations governing operation to administer practices/policies and ensure compliancy; ensure equipment, regulatory compliance, process controls, and safety standards are met
Ensure all safety procedures are followed, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment, Lock Out Tag Out, HACCP & Good Manufacturing Practices
Develop and communicate tactical plans and goals; execute daily plans to meet productivity standard and communicate status to team members
Oversee shift operations including product quality, product & people scheduling, daily work responsibilities; manage daily, weekly, and monthlyoperations and working with others responsible for area goals
Delegate tasks to team members and empower them to take on new challenges; ensure department tasks are prioritized and completed efficiently
Identify opportunities and make recommendations for operational improvements
Delegate and answer questions regarding product quality and scheduling, people and responsibilities
Identify and implement best practices, provide recommendations on improving productivity and ways to reduce operating expenses while maintaining product quality. Identify critical situations and escalate effectively
Maintain accuracy of ERP system; ensure established procedures are performed within specific time frames
Communicate and interact with various support teams as a subject matter expert
Required Qualifications
- 2 or more years of Leadership experience
- Experience managing and developing a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing experience
- Food safety experience
- Microsoft Office skills
