As a Working Student, you will support the exploration and implementation of AI-powered solutions within BCG. Your role will involve testing, optimizing, and integrating AI solutions across different tools and workflows. You’ll work closely with the GenAI Innovation Team, providing hands-on support for internal teams and contributing to the scouting of new AI technologies. You will also support internal colleagues with technical questions regarding core AI-enabled tools.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Agent concept development and initial testing
- You’ll research and select the best tools for AI agents for BCG-internal processes.
- You’ll design and optimize agent workflows, including API integrations and prompt engineering.
- You’ll experiment with and evaluate new AI features and functionalities.
Operational support for selected case teams
- You’ll provide remote assistance to BCG teams (e.g., configuring custom GPT solutions, setting up AI bots).
Sparring partner and additional operational support for the GenAI Navigator Team
- You’ll scout and test new AI tools for selected use cases.
- You enjoy working with AI tools and automation, testing, optimizing, and integrating AI-based solutions.
- You have a structured approach to problem-solving, troubleshooting, and debugging workflows.
- You’re able to assess AI capabilities systematically and optimize them based on performance insights.
- You collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, keeping stakeholders informed and engaged.
- You’re quick to adapt to new technologies and changing priorities, learning fast and staying flexible.
- You are currently enrolled in a full-time bachelor’s or master’s program in computer science, data science, business informatics, or a related field.
- You have some experience with AI tools and workflows, ideally including API integrations and prompt engineering.
- You have basic programming knowledge (Python, JavaScript, or similar) (preferred but not required).
- You have strong analytical skills and a keen interest in AI-driven process automation.
- You are fluent in German and English.
You will work autonomously while staying in close alignment with the GenAI Lab Team and other key stakeholders driving AI adoption at BCG. You will report to the CE Strategic Projects and Sustainability Director, who will provide strategic guidance and ensure a seamless onboarding experience. In addition, you will provide operational support for case teams, assisting with AI-driven workflow optimizations, remote troubleshooting, and hands-on AI tool configuration to ensure seamless integration into day-to-day project work.
