The Nurse Resident provides and directs clinically appropriate patient care to an individual or group of patients in accordance with the philosophy and mission of the Department of Nursing, the organization, and the scope and standards set forth by the American Nurses Association (ANA).
The Residency program is a 12-month program with extended orientation, clinical experiences, and classroom time to facilitate transition to practice.Who We Are:

X Basic Life Support (BLS) -May be obtained during 1st week of orientation
X Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Required for ED, Med Surg, PCU, ICU, OB within 6 months of hire
X NIHSS required within 6 months of hire
X Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Required for ED within 6 months of hire.
X Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) Required for FBC within 6 months of hire.
Minimum Education
Graduate of an accredited nursing program (will accept Virginia RN license as proof of completion)
