Job Description

About Sagara Health

Sagara Health has developed NexCM, a purpose-built AI platform designed to transform care management and value-based care.

NexCM goes beyond simple transcription by turning complex healthcare conversations and clinical data into structured documentation, prioritized action items, and automated follow-ups—significantly reducing administrative burden while enhancing operational efficiency.

Care managers are central to member engagement, care coordination, care-gap closure, and value-based care performance. However, critical workflows remain fragmented across disparate systems, spreadsheets, and manual processes. Sagara Health solves this workflow challenge directly.

Founded by a team with over 70 years of combined leadership across managed care, health-plan operations, healthcare technology, and care management, Sagara has built and scaled provider networks, operational programs, and technology platforms across the U.S. market.

NexCM is built, Sagara has established early customer traction, and the company is now moving into its next stage of commercial growth.

As Sagara scales, the company is selectively engaging senior healthcare executives, founders, operators and investors who can contribute at a board level through their experience, relationships, judgment and long-term alignment.

The Opportunity

Sagara is looking to engage a select group of experienced healthcare leaders who can contribute to the company at a strategic and board level.

We are seeking accomplished leaders who can add strategic value across:
Scaling healthcare enterprises and driving commercial growth
Building enterprise customer pipelines and strategic partnerships
Navigating payer and provider relationships
Advising on healthcare AI, technology, and go-to-market strategy
Providing board governance, capital strategy, and M&A expertise

This is not an operational position.

The focus is on strategic judgment, relationships, commercial perspective and helping Sagara navigate the next stage of growth.

Why Sagara

Healthcare AI has largely entered the market through the physician workflow.

While healthcare AI has largely focused on physician documentation, Sagara targets a vital, underserved area: care management.

NexCM is designed around the broader workflow:

Conversation and healthcare data → understanding → prioritization → documentation → human review → follow-up actions → measurable outcomes

The goal is not simply to automate note-taking.

It is to help care-management organisations move more effectively from information to action while working alongside the systems they already use.

Sagara combines healthcare AI with a leadership team that has spent decades operating inside the market it is addressing.

Why This Moment Matters

Sagara has moved beyond product development.

The platform is built. Customers are already engaging with NexCM. The next phase is about commercial expansion and scale.

Key strategic priorities for this stage include:

Accelerating early commercial traction and enterprise adoption
Demonstrating measurable ROI and productivity gains for clients
Expanding relationships across payer and provider networks
Deepening strategic integration and partnership channels
Building a scalable, repeatable enterprise sales model

This creates an opportunity to engage with Sagara during the transition from early commercial traction to broader scale.

Role of a Board-Level Member

Board-level advisors contribute across several key dimensions:
Providing executive leadership and governance insights
Facilitating executive introductions to prospective clients and investors
Guiding commercial and capital formation strategy
Offering market-informed feedback on healthcare tech and AI positioning

Engagement is strategic and periodic rather than operational.

Compensation and Alignment

This is an equity-compensated position and is not a cash-compensated role.

Sagara is looking for individuals who believe strategic contribution and long-term ownership alignment should operate together.

The opportunity is intended for experienced healthcare leaders who can contribute more than advice alone and who want meaningful alignment with the company as it scales.

Ideal Profile

We are particularly interested in:

Executive & Corporate Leadership: Healthcare CEOs, Presidents, C-suite executives, and founders with proven experience building, scaling, or exiting healthcare organizations.
Payer & Provider Operations: Leaders across health plans, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid managed care, ACOs, risk-bearing provider networks, and care management or population health organizations.
Digital Health & Healthcare AI: Technology executives and innovators specializing in digital health solutions, enterprise SaaS, and AI-driven clinical workflow automation.
Partners: Healthcare-focused private equity operating executives, venture investors, and experienced private-company board members with capital formation expertise.

Strong candidates will typically bring a combination of:

Healthcare experience + commercial capability + relationships + investment experience

We are particularly interested in individuals who:

Have held significant executive or board-level responsibility
Have built, scaled or operated healthcare businesses
Understand enterprise healthcare commercialisation
Bring meaningful customer, industry or investor relationships
Have experience with privately held companies
Have participated in boards or advisory boards
Understand company growth, capital formation or value creation
Have previously invested personally in private or early-stage businesses
Can contribute strategically as Sagara scales

What is Different About Sagara

Sagara is not simply building another healthcare transcription tool.

NexCM is focused on the broader care-management workflow:

Listen → understand → prioritize → document → act → measure

The company sits at the intersection of:

AI + care management + value-based care + workflow automation + healthcare operating experience

Most importantly, Sagara is entering this stage with a product already built and early customer traction already established.
