Job Description

LANDSCAPE DESIGNER

A unique career opportunity for a talented landscape design candidate!

Are you a talented designer who loves creating beautiful outdoor environments—but also wants to keep learning, growing and building your career?

If this sounds like you, I would love to meet you.

PowerHouse Recruiting is honored to be recruiting for a highly respected, award-winning luxury landscape design firm located in Chicago's North Shore.

This is a very special opportunity to join a company known not only for its extraordinary landscape design and beautiful projects, but also for an enviable employee culture built around collaboration, mentorship, creativity and long-term professional growth.

We are looking for a Designer with approximately 3+ years of experience who brings creative talent, a passion for landscape design and, most importantly, a desire to continue learning and growing.

You do not need to be a licensed landscape architect.

You do need to love design.

You do need to be a team player looking for a career home.

You should be able to show us your creativity through a portfolio, be comfortable with technology and design software, and be excited about becoming part of a collaborative studio where experienced leaders truly want to mentor and develop you.

WHAT MAKES THIS OPPORTUNITY DIFFERENT?

We want to invest in you. We don’t expect you will walk in knowing everything.

The company has developed a thoughtful onboarding and training process designed to teach you its approach to design, estimating, technology, project workflow and client service.

You can expect hands-on training and mentoring, with the goal of preparing you to begin taking ownership of your own landscape design projects.

WE WOULD LOVE TO MEET YOU IF YOU:

Have approximately 3+ years of design & landscape experience.
Education: A degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Landscape Design, Engineering, or a related design discipline is preferred.
Have a strong, creative portfolio you are proud to share.
Have a genuine passion for landscape and outdoor design.
Tech savvy and comfortable learning new systems/software, experience with Aspire is a huge bonus.
Experience estimating landscape projects is a plus, but it is not required.
Value mentorship and continued professional development.
Are excited to grow into increasingly responsibilities over time.
Comfortable working in our offices located on Chicago’s North Shore, Illinois, or are willing to relocate.

Benefits:

Competitive compensation based on experience and talent
Comprehensive employee benefits package
Thoughtful onboarding, training & professional development
Ongoing mentorship from highly experienced landscape design professionals
Opportunity to work on exceptional luxury residential landscape projects
A highly collaborative, creative and employee-focused company culture
Long-term opportunity to advance into senior design and leadership roles
Work with an established, highly respected firm with an outstanding industry reputation

This is a stellar opportunity for your next career home.

Please reach out directly and confidentially to, Wendy Cohen, CEO, PowerHouse Recruiting.

I am excited to learn more about you, your work and where you want your career to go next.

Please be prepared to share your design portfolio.

Please do not contact our client employer directly. All inquiries are to be directed to Wendy Cohen, PowerHouse Recruiting.
