About Us

Maryland Local Marketing is a growing B2B marketing company helping local businesses become more visible, attract new customers, and grow their business in today's increasingly digital marketplace.

We are the sister company of a trusted, locally owned B2B merchant services company with more than 30 years of experience serving businesses throughout Maryland. Our team combines the personal service of a local company with today's digital marketing technology, giving business owners practical solutions designed to help them compete and grow.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced B2B Sales Representative who understands that successful marketing today goes far beyond simply having a business listing or maintaining a social media page.

This role will focus primarily on selling our higher-value digital marketing and growth solutions, including social media marketing, short-form video content, websites, digital advertising, lead generation, and other services designed to increase a business's visibility and generate new opportunities.

The ideal candidate is comfortable having a business conversation with an owner or decision-maker, asking good discovery questions, identifying marketing challenges, and connecting those challenges to a solution.

You don't have to be a digital marketing expert when you walk through the door-but you should understand the importance of visibility, consistency, content, and digital advertising in today's business environment and be able to communicate that value to a business owner.

What You'll Do

Prospect and develop new B2B relationships with local business owners and decision-makers
Conduct consultative sales conversations to understand a business's current marketing efforts, challenges, and goals
Sell digital marketing solutions including:
- Social media management and marketing
- Short-form video / Reels / social content
- Business websites and website development
- Google and Meta advertising
- Lead generation programs
- Digital visibility and SEO-focused services
- Other customized marketing solutions
Help business owners understand why consistent digital visibility matters and how today's customers find and evaluate businesses
Identify opportunities to increase a company's online presence, engagement, traffic, and lead flow
Present proposals and marketing strategies based on the prospect's needs-not simply a package or price
Follow up consistently and professionally throughout the sales process
Maintain accurate prospect and customer information in our CRM
Build long-term relationships with clients and identify opportunities for additional services
Work closely with our marketing team to ensure clients receive the services and support promised during the sales process

What We're Looking For

This is a B2B sales position. Sales experience matters.

We are looking for someone who:

Has proven B2B sales experience
Is comfortable prospecting, making outbound calls, and developing new business
Can confidently speak with business owners and decision-makers
Is naturally curious and asks strong discovery questions
Can uncover a business problem before presenting a solution
Understands that selling marketing requires selling value and business outcomes, not simply features
Can create urgency without being pushy
Is comfortable discussing social media, websites, digital advertising, video, and lead generation
Understands that consumers increasingly research businesses online before deciding where to spend their money
Is organized, persistent, coachable, and motivated by results
Can manage a sales pipeline and follow-up process

Helpful Experience

The following experience is a plus:

Digital marketing sales
Social media marketing
Website sales
SEO or digital advertising
Lead generation
Advertising sales
Merchant services or other B2B sales
Experience selling to small and mid-sized businesses
GoHighLevel (GHL) CRM experience
Experience using a CRM to manage leads, opportunities, follow-ups, and sales activity

The Type of Salesperson We're Looking For

We're not looking for someone who simply walks into a business and says:

"We can do your social media for $ per month."

We're looking for someone who can have a conversation like:

"How are you currently generating new customers?"

"How much business comes from people finding you online?"

"When someone hears about your company and Googles you, what do they see?"

"Are you consistently creating content that gives potential customers a reason to choose you?"

"If you had a predictable way to generate more qualified leads, what would that mean for your business?"

The ability to discover, educate, and connect marketing services to a business owner's goals is what will make someone successful in this position.
