Job Description

The Low Voltage Technician is responsible for the installation and service of various communication systems such as sound, paging, nurse call, audio/visual, and camera systems. This role involves pulling and properly terminating CAT 6 cable, with fiber termination and splicing experience considered a valuable asset. The technician typically works independently within a small team and reports directly to the Project Manager. Growth opportunities include certification training to enhance technical skills.

Responsibilities

Install and service communication systems including sound, paging, nurse call, audio/visual, and camera systems
Pull and properly terminate CAT 6 cable
Perform fiber optic termination and splicing
Maintain and troubleshoot installed systems
Provide excellent customer service during installations and service calls
Document work performed accurately
Collaborate effectively with team members and project managers

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with low voltage installation
Expertise in CAT 6 cable termination
Knowledge of fiber optic termination and splicing
Familiarity with nurse call, audio/visual, and camera systems
Proficient in sound and paging systems
Strong troubleshooting skills
Effective communication skills
