Duties

Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential and commercial buildings, including water supply lines, drainage systems, and fixtures
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to ensure precise installation and repairs
Operate power tools, hand tools, pipe threading equipment, and plumbing assembly tools safely and effectively
Adhere to local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards during all phases of work
Assist with remodeling projects by assembling plumbing components and integrating new systems into existing structures
Conduct routine maintenance on plumbing systems to prevent future issues and ensure optimal performance
Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot complex plumbing problems involving HVAC systems or water systems
Operate company vehicles responsibly for transportation to job sites while maintaining compliance with commercial driving regulations

Skills

Proven construction experience with a focus on plumbing installation and repair
Skilled in pipe threading and the use of hand tools and power tools for various plumbing tasks
Strong knowledge of construction plumbing, residential plumbing, and commercial plumbing systems
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and interpret construction plans accurately
Familiarity with local building codes, safety standards, and inspection procedures
Mechanical aptitude with understanding of HVAC systems and water system maintenance
Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients about work performed and future maintenance needs
Physical ability for heavy lifting, climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, and performing manual tasks throughout the workday
Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to pipe sizes or system capacities
Carpentry or handyman experience is a plus for remodeling or assembly tasks
