Job Description

Duties

Safely operate commercial trucks with MANUAL TRANSMISSIONS across designated routes, adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws.
Transport freight efficiently using various trailer types such as tanker, or specialized equipment like roll-off trailers.
Load and unload cargo accurately.
Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) standards.
Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, routes traveled, and freight delivery records in accordance with federal regulations.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route updates, delivery schedules, or any issues encountered on the road.
Manage route driving responsibilities with professionalism, ensuring timely deliveries while prioritizing safety at all times.

Qualifications

Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record.
Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver experience for freight transportation.
Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles and various trailer types such as tankers, dump trailers, roll-off trailer.
Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards for commercial trucking operations.
Strong route planning skills with a focus on efficiency and safety.
