Responsibilities

Operate flatbed tow trucks with precision and adherence to safety protocols to transport vehicles across various locations.
Load and unload vehicles carefully using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or manual techniques, ensuring no damage occurs.
Conduct routine inspections of the tow truck to maintain optimal mechanical condition and identify any repair needs.
Diagnose basic automotive issues on vehicles requiring towing, utilizing automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge.
Communicate effectively with customers, dispatchers, and team members to coordinate pickups and deliveries efficiently.
Manage conflict situations professionally, providing excellent customer service even under challenging circumstances.
Maintain accurate logs of all towing activities, vehicle conditions, and related documentation for compliance and reporting purposes.

Requirements

Proven experience operating tow trucks, especially flatbed models, with a strong understanding of vehicle loading procedures.
Mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic automotive diagnostics and repairs when needed.
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmissions is preferred.
Familiarity with automotive repair processes, conflict management, and customer service best practices.
Ability to load & unload vehicles safely using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or manual methods.
Prior experience working with tow trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles is highly desirable.
