Position Summary

The Licensed Mental Health Professional provides diagnostic assessment, treatment planning, psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and care coordination services to children, adolescents, transition-age youth, adults, and families receiving behavioral health treatment.

The Licensed Mental Health Professional delivers evidence-based, trauma-informed, recovery-oriented treatment while functioning independently within the scope of their Pennsylvania professional license.

The position requires maintaining a minimum productivity expectation of 25 billable clinical hours per week while ensuring quality care, regulatory compliance, and timely documentation.

Services may be delivered through face-to-face or telehealth modalities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Clinical Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive diagnostic assessments.
Establish DSM diagnoses as clinically indicated.
Develop individualized treatment plans.
Provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy.
Conduct crisis intervention and risk assessments.
Develop safety plans and coordinate crisis care.
Coordinate care with primary care providers, psychiatrists, schools, hospitals, and community agencies.
Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning.

Trauma-Informed Practice

Deliver services through a trauma-informed framework.
Recognize the impact of trauma, social determinants of health, and adverse childhood experiences.
Utilize evidence-based treatment interventions.
Promote resiliency, recovery, and client empowerment.

Productivity Expectations

Maintain a minimum of twenty-five (25) billable clinical hours per week.
Maintain an active caseload sufficient to meet organizational expectations.
Complete clinical documentation according to required timelines.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Clinical Leadership

Participate in peer consultation.
Support master's-level clinicians through mentoring and consultation.
Assist with agency compliance, accreditation, and quality assurance activities.

Minimum Qualifications

Pennsylvania LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist.
Master's degree or doctoral degree in an approved behavioral health discipline.
Knowledge of outpatient behavioral health regulations and payer requirements.
Experience providing psychotherapy and treatment planning services.

Preferred Qualifications

Three years of outpatient mental health experience.
Experience treating co-occurring disorders.
Specialized training in trauma treatment modalities.

Work Schedule, Telehealth, and Hybrid Work Opportunity

Services may be provided through a combination of face-to-face and telehealth appointments based upon client needs, clinical appropriateness, payer requirements, and agency operations.

Employees may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement following successful completion of orientation and probationary periods and demonstration of satisfactory performance, productivity, attendance, documentation compliance, and overall good standing.

Hybrid work is subject to:

Supervisor approval.
Agency operational needs.
HIPAA and confidentiality requirements.
Telehealth and payer regulations.
Maintenance of required productivity standards.

Hybrid work privileges may be modified or revoked based on business needs, performance concerns, regulatory requirements, or client care needs.

Telehealth Service Delivery Standards

Employees providing telehealth services shall:

Utilize only Agency-approved telehealth platforms and electronic health record systems.
Comply with HIPAA, payer requirements, and applicable federal and Pennsylvania regulations.
Obtain and document telehealth consent according to Agency policy.
Maintain professional standards equivalent to in-person services.
Conduct sessions in a secure and confidential environment.
Verify client identity, location, and emergency contact information as required.
Complete documentation in a timely manner.
Participate in required telehealth and cybersecurity training.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

Ability to perform all duties in office, community, and telehealth settings.
Frequent computer and documentation work.
Local travel as required.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
Ability to manage high-risk behavioral health situations appropriately.
Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, providers, and community partners.

Additional Requirement: This position may require the independent management of high-risk clinical situations, including suicide risk assessment, safety planning, involuntary commitment evaluations, and coordination with emergency services consistent with professional licensure and agency policies.
