Job Description

Experienced HVAC Technician / Instructor

Ready to Get Off the Service Truck and Share What You Know?

Experience Required: 3+ Years Professional HVAC Experience
Teaching Experience: Not Required

You've spent years learning HVAC in the real world. You've diagnosed problems, worked with customers, installed and repaired equipment, and probably helped newer technicians learn the trade along the way.

What if your next career move was teaching those skills to the next generation of HVAC technicians?

All-State Career is looking for experienced HVAC professionals who want to put their field experience to work in a different way.

You do NOT need previous teaching experience. We provide the curriculum, classroom resources, and support to help experienced HVAC professionals become successful instructors.

Why Consider Moving from the Field to the Classroom?

Your HVAC experience has value beyond the service truck.

As an HVAC Instructor, you'll have the opportunity to:

Share the skills you've spent years developing
Train and mentor future HVAC technicians
Work in a more predictable environment
Spend less time driving from service call to service call
Get away from emergency calls and unpredictable customer schedules
Reduce the physical wear and tear that comes with years in the field
Stay connected to the HVAC industry
Make a direct impact on people starting new careers

What You'll Do

You'll use your real-world HVAC experience to help students develop the skills employers expect from entry-level technicians.

You'll teach and demonstrate areas such as:

HVAC safety and proper tool use
Electrical fundamentals and troubleshooting
Heating systems
Air conditioning systems
Refrigeration principles
Installation and service procedures
Preventive maintenance
Diagnostic and troubleshooting techniques
Professionalism and expectations in the HVAC industry

You'll also coach students through hands-on lab activities and help them develop the confidence and problem-solving skills they'll need in the field.

You May Be a Great Fit If You've Worked As A:

HVAC Technician • HVAC/R Technician • HVAC Service Technician • HVAC Installer • HVAC Mechanic • Refrigeration Technician • Commercial HVAC Technician • Residential HVAC Technician • Lead Technician • Maintenance Technician

What We're Looking For

Required:

At least 3 years of professional HVAC field experience
Strong hands-on knowledge of HVAC systems, service, installation, maintenance, and/or troubleshooting
Ability to communicate technical information clearly
Desire to coach, mentor, and help others succeed
Professional and dependable approach to work

Teaching experience is NOT required.

If you've ever trained a new technician, helped an apprentice, demonstrated a repair, explained why a system wasn't working, or shown a coworker a better way to complete a job, you already have experience that can translate to the classroom.

EPA certification needed and additional HVAC credentials are a plus, but not required.

Don't Have a Teaching Resume? That's Okay.

We're looking for HVAC experience first.

You don't need to rewrite your resume to sound like a teacher. We want to hear about the systems you've worked on, the problems you've solved, and the experience you can share with students.

You've Built the Skills. Now Help Build the Next Generation.

If you have 3+ years of HVAC experience and are interested in exploring a career where your knowledge can make a difference, we'd like to talk with you.

Apply today and learn what a career in HVAC education could look like for you.
