Job Description

Head of US Sales | Pet Industry

Remote, USA | $160,000–$185,000 base + commission

What if your next sales role gave you major retail accounts to grow, direct access to the founder and the freedom to build something of your own?

We're partnering with a fast-growing, female-founded Pet consumer brand that's entering an exciting new chapter.

Over the past few years, the business has grown significantly, securing distribution with some of North America's largest retailers and building a strong reputation for its innovative, design-led products.

With ambitious growth plans and further national retail opportunities already in the pipeline, they're now looking for a Head of US Sales to help take the business to the next level.

The opportunity

This isn't a role where you're starting from scratch.

You'll inherit established national retail relationships with significant room for growth, alongside opportunities to open new accounts across Pet Specialty, Mass and Grocery.

You'll take ownership of the US sales strategy, working directly with the founder and product team to identify new opportunities, strengthen buyer relationships, expand distribution and grow revenue.

That means getting in front of buyers, leading negotiations, developing assortments, shaping promotional programmes and using commercial data to make better decisions.

You'll also have the freedom to influence how the US sales function develops, with the opportunity to build and lead a larger team as the business grows.

Who we're looking for

We're looking for someone who's built a successful career in US Pet retail but still loves being close to the action.

You'll ideally bring:

10+ years' sales experience, with a strong background in Pet.
A proven track record of personally opening and growing major US retail accounts.
Established relationships across Pet Specialty, Mass or Grocery.
Strong commercial understanding of pricing, margins, forecasting and retail promotions.
Experience leading people, alongside a willingness to remain hands-on.
An entrepreneurial mindset and the confidence to work directly with a founder.

You might currently be leading a sales team but miss being more involved in the day-to-day commercial decisions. Or perhaps you've helped scale a challenger Pet brand and are ready to do it again.

Why consider it?

Because you'll have the opportunity to make a genuine impact.

This is a business with real momentum, exciting products and ambitious plans, but without the layers of management that can slow things down.

You'll have direct access to the founder, ownership of the US commercial strategy and the chance to shape a sales function as it grows.

If you're excited by the idea of building something rather than simply managing what's already there, we'd love to hear from you.
